Ignite represents the Men’s Ministry of Swindon Elim Church, which meets regularly and is led by Matt Brown and Pastor Steve! In a thrilling and challenging atmosphere real men, discuss real issues in a real way, an opportunity that no man in Swindon Elim should miss out on. Our goal is to effectively reach men in and outside of the church walls, equipping and empowering them to be all that God has called them to be. We have a full and extensive programme running throughout 2010 which includes: Smaller meetings for Spiritual development, discussion groups for tackling real life issues, men’s breakfasts / dinners which are held periodically in hotels around Swindon and larger gatherings for Evangelism. There are also other activities organised such as: curry nights, paint-balling, go-karting, laser quest, guest speakers etc for fun and outreach. Conferences are also high on the agenda for evangelistic purposes as well as Christian development! Through fellowship, the men of the church need to meet together to draw closer to each other and to God, to support one another and to help each other achieve God’s purpose in their lives. We believe meeting together in various ways enables us to connect with men that may not always choose church first, but are hungry to know more about our faith as followers of Christ. All men are welcome to join us and get connected as we do life together whether you’re 17 or 70, to accept the challenge to play your part in this exciting discipleship opportunity of adventure.
