Swindon Elim Church’s `Noah’s Ark` group has been running for over 2 years now, providing a caring Christian environment for the parents, carer’s and children of the Church and local community in Swindon. Noah’s Ark has become popular in the area and is often recommended by other community organisations. We meet in the Church Hall every Tuesday morning (term-time only) from 10am to12pm. The room is laid out on a carpet flooring with plenty of toys i.e. dolls, cars, trains. A craft activity also takes place every week. Some children ride on cars and tricycles in a relatively large area. There are also `baby changing` facilities available. We also have a `second hand clothes` area for anyone who needs clothing for their child/ren. [Items are free to purchase or donations only]. Next to the hall we have a kitchen and toilets. The session consists of children `running wild` playing on the carefully selected equipment. Tea and coffee is served about 10.30am for the adults and juice for the children. Biscuits or fruit are also available. At 11.45am a story reading for the children is then read by one of the leaders and this occurs every week. We then tidy up and go home at 12pm. Each year we have a Christmas party on the last `Noah’s Ark` session before Christmas. The cost of attending is £1 per session. To enable maximum enjoyment from each session we limit numbers - so please contact Diana on 01793 349595 or mobile 07504187015 to reserve your place and avoid disappointment. The Noah’s Ark Team is lead by Diana with 4 female volunteers assisting her. All ladies attend the Elim Church and are all Police Checked. Also 3 ladies on the team are qualified in first –aid. We look forward to hearing from you or seeing you at Noah’s Ark very soon. |
